This is "charlie" our adorable tri coloured Border collie dog, he is almost 5 years old, ive had him since he was 8 weeks old (pictured left as a puppy) He has grown up so quickly. He is very hyper, and dominant, he is quite naughty and can be a cheaky little sod, but he is a fantastic dog really and we all love him to bits! i couldnt be without him now!
When he was 6 months old he ate a shoe, he swallowed the inner sole and had to have an operation to remove it, at that time i hadnt got him insurance! OOPS, big mistake!
He used to have an agression "problem" (Resource agression) and it also makes it worst the fact he is a border collie, because he has the natural herding instinct, but goes a bit over the top with it! He is so much better now, his only problem is dominance, he has to learn that hes bottom of the pack! He absolutley loves people, and is good with kids, Im very lucky with him as he also loves loves loves other dogs, he would never hurt another dog, he always wants to play, but if another dog starts a fight with him, he will defend himself! He is fantastic with all my other animals, especially the rabbits and guinea pigs!
He dislikes:
Push Bikes
People running
People playing football
Kids that jump on him and pull him about
Horses (its not that he doesnt like them, its that he thinks he has to heard them all)
He doesnt like being told what to do (who does?)
The post man and news paper boy
Delivery men
He hates cats, he chases them but has never managed to catch one...............yet!
He likes:
Loves people (when he is in a good mood)
other Dogs
Food
Rabbits and guinea pigs
Long walks in the forest
He likes barking, lol! a lot!
he loves playing with his soft toys and tennis balls
He likes jumpin up at the kitchen side when you have just prepard yourself a meal, and he will eat it!
He loves learning new things
Commands he knows and obeys:
Sit, come, laydown, paw, turn around, say please, Sleep, NO (he knows, but doesnt always obey, lol), touch, get down, wait, leave, He also knows what "be nice" means, but doesnt always obey!
Harry
This is harry our black and white border collie!! He has a little black spot on his head...so cute!
He is very hyper (like all collies) and loves attention and playing fetch! Charlie and harry get on very well, they play all the time, and ususally run a riot, lol! They love playing tuggy together! Harry hasnt yet learnt to walk to heal, and is very powerful, so when we take him for walks it is a bit of a handful, luckily he is good of the lead, so can run around with charlie! Harry lives with my mum, but we meet up for walks etc.
Harry loves his food and loves jumping anything (especially the gate that keeps him in his dog room) He is quite a "big boned" dog, and he could drink for england!!
He spend most of his time outside, in the garden, he likes sleeping in the summer house and sun bathing!
